We are very happy at our virtual headquarters of our World Folklore University, the UNIVERSIDAD VIRTUAL POPULAR DEL FOLKLORE LATINOAMERICANO, the Spanish site, because we already have 150 friends who will be soon active students.
We also have in that 10 ACTIVE COOPERATIVE STUDENTS from different countries who with the thechnical and academical staff are making this University be alive and teaching which is one of our goals.

WE WANT TO DUPLICATE THOSE FACTS and have as many ACTIVE COOPERATIVE STUDENTS LIKE YOU and all new ones are WELCOME.

Because our main objectives are to search,study,learn,teach and share all related to the folklore of the world, sorry, we are not accepting just friends to look at or to share greetings or invite to drink, we are a serious project with serious people who use the technology, without(now) any financial support to have a better infrastructure of work but of course saying thanks to hi5s owners and directors, and trying to bring different ideas with focus on development, peace,understanding,knowledge of popular expressions and success in our social relations of comunities.

AT THE BEGINNING
We will accept all friends but little by little we wish to continue only with the ones who wish to search,study,learn, teach and share we will emphasize on the ones who will bring exotic, strange and unknown folkloric inheritance, our idea is to make know, but of course we will share the best of the best of the already known folklore of others. OK if you have walked with us to here, now you are ready to know the basis of the World Folklore Virtual University : WFVU founded by Searcher of Folklore Dario Morán, a guatemalan who believes in a better world and who decided to propose different ideas,dreams and projects to different(Not racial, he believes we are all the same)people like him.

All started as a dream to spread the folklore and popular arts and culture of latinamerican culture when I launched the project last June, se started with the site in spanish and as soon as we published the site students and groups like Blanca Velazquez from México and Liragroup from Bulgary arrived virtually to tell us that they wished to study in the virtual university. We started programming the classes, the courses and new and fresh ideas started to come to our minds.
Then others added, from Ecuador, Perú, France, Portugal and other countries and of course from Guatemala my country. The ethnic traditional dances group Nán Nik´te Guatemala Tradicion y Danza is the founder group of the University.
Now we have this english site for the non spanish speaking students, searchers, professors and visitors and we hope fill the needs of people who want to know of latinamerican folklore, we will add soon a section of folklore of other continents.

We are already linked with idealists.org
and are looking for other networks,we are also working with people from Brazil and Argentina in alike projects. We say welcome to volunteer teachers and facilitators, we still need more space so if you know of other free web pages we appreciate the information, finnancial support will be also required because our big dream is to build the university in Guatemala or in an another country, this when institutions like UNESCO and others recognize our ad honorem works for the spread of education, folklore and culture and popular arts.
